The market drives our bottom line and as such has forced us to deal with vacancies and financially strapped tenants for the first time in many years. We’ve worked tremendously hard to fill our vacancies but, as with all landlords in Alberta and Saskatchewan, we are being impacted by market conditions stemming from the softening commodity prices. Round Table Management continues to focus on our sister companies’ needs and to partner with them on projects as they strive to develop their businesses. On a positive note, this year Round Table Management was able to obtain the future site for ClearTech Industries in Edmonton. This property will fulfill ClearTech Industries future real estate needs for many years to come. We were also able to obtain the land across the tracks from this site for future use as they expand and grow or for any of our other sister companies needs. Round Table Management works hard to diversify our portfolio by continuing to search for opportunities in a variety of markets. We will be actively looking at pure investment properties such as retail malls and larger multi-tenant buildings. Round Table Management has the ability to be involved in projects that require a project manager to oversee the construction and design of a variety of build-outs. Our special project manager is actively overseeing a design to help Panther Industries on a trans-load facility upgrade to accommodate a new product line. With all the struggles in the market, we’ve learned that with good people and a good corporate culture we can make it through the hard years and look forward to many prosperous years to come. The challenges that we have faced will undoubtedly make us smarter going forward. We’ve been able to make sound investments over the years that stabilize our financial picture when challenging times are upon us.
